The 72nd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair Shines Bright,
Forecasts Over 3.5 Billion Baht in Trade Value

Bangkok, September 9, 2025 — Mr. Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony of the 72nd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok. The fair is organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), in collaboration with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) or GIT, with support from a steering committee of 17 organizations. This edition brings together 1,106 companies from Thailand and abroad, across 2,628 booths, occupying the entire G and LG floors (Halls 1–8). The fair is expected to welcome over 40,000 visitors and generate more than 3.5 billion baht in trade value.

Mr. Vuttikrai stated, “The gems and jewelry industry is one of Thailand’s key economic drivers, being a fully integrated sector from upstream to downstream, employing more than 800,000 people nationwide across its supply chain. Despite the challenges posed by the global economic slowdown, I am delighted to note that from January to July 2025, Thailand’s exports of gems and jewelry (excluding gold) reached a value of 8.186 billion US dollars, accounting for 4.73 percent of total exports, and representing an impressive 60.5 percent growth compared to the same period in 2024.”

“With more than four decades of growth, the Fair, now in its 72nd edition from 9–13 September 2025, stands as a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and a vital mechanism in advancing Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry. I am proud that today, Bangkok Gems is recognized by global buyers as one of the world’s top four jewelry trade shows and as a must-attend destination for buyers and industry professionals worldwide. This is a true testament to the confidence international buyers place in the Thai jewelry industry.” said the Permanent Secretary.

Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP and lead organizer of the event, added, “Beyond being a showcase of Thailand’s top jewelry manufacturers and exporters, the Fair is also a trusted sourcing destination for global brands seeking original design manufacturers. With more than half of its exhibitors in the colored gemstones category, Bangkok Gems is recognized as the largest marketplace for colored stones in the world.”

The 72nd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair runs from 9-13 September 2025 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Halls 1–8, G and LG floors. For more information, please visit www.bkkgems.com or facebook.com/Bangkokgemsofficial.
